The Use Hand and Power Tools course is based on the National Unit of Competency RIISAM203A. The course instructs and educates learners on how to successfully and safely select, maintain and operate common hand and power tools.

Topics covered in the course include:

• Planning Work
• Selecting and Checking Hand Tools
• Using Hand Tools
• Selecting and Checking Power Tools
• Using Power Tools
• Cleaning up after work

Courses run for a period of four hours.

Once the course is completed you will be deemed competent in hand and power tool use.

Statements of Attainment are issued immediately on completion of the course.
