What is the Yellow Card?

If you are operating any scissor lift (electric, petrol or diesel) or a boom lift up to eleven metres then this course is for you. The EWP Yellow card is a nationally recognised operator training program. This course is delivered in accordance with the Elevated Work Platform Association of Australia (EWPAA).

Topics Covered in the Course Include:

• Pre-start safety checks and correct use of the log book.
• Hazard management, planning and preparing work for EWP.
• OHS regulations and duty of care.
• Emergency decent system, including practical demonstration.
• Correct procedures for setting up, operating and shutting down EWP machines.
• Knowledge assessment conducted after the practical session.

Courses run for three to four hours depending on operator aptitude.

At the successful completion of the course the participant will be deemed competent in unlimited scissor lift (electric and diesel) and boom lift to 11 metres operation and issued with an interim certificate so you will be ready to start work immediately. Plastic cards will be mailed out.
