What is First Aid?

The Apply First Aid – HLTA301B course provides participants with the skills and knowledge required to provide first aid response as well as basic life support and management of the casualty, the incident and other first aid providers until medical or other assistance arrive.
The Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) recommends up update your knowledge in
cardiopulmonary resuscitation annually.

Topics covered in this course include:

• Assess the situation
• Apply first aid procedures
• Communicate details of the incident
• Evaluate your own performance
• Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation  (CPR)

Courses run for a period of eight hours.

Statements of Attainment are issued immediately on successful completion of the course.
